On 22nd March every year, we celebrate World Water Day and it is about focusing attention on the importance of water. This year’s theme is Water and Climate Change – and how the two are inextricably linked.
At AVK, we focus on water’s complete journey through society, and on the utmost efficient management in all aspects. This includes minimising water losses and NRW, applying smart management solutions, and in considering wastewater and waste as valuable sources to energy.
Share your case story: To celebrate the day, AVK invites all customers and partners to take part in a case story contest; tell us how your company has contributed to more sustainable water infrastructures, and to our common UN sustainable development goals.
To participate, simply submit a recent case story (in English) that reflects a contribution to a more sustainable future through better handling of water; preferably using AVK products. This could be an optimised water supply delivering safer drinking water to the community, an NRW level reduction, a wastewater/waste to energy project, or a smart concept to assist in more efficient management.
Win a complete water knowledge upgrade
This year’s winning prize is an all-inclusive seat at our yearly “Advanced Water Cycle Management" course - an intensive, two-week knowledge upgrade regarding latest water technologies, concepts and semi-practical tasks – and, of course, loads of fun and networking with participants from all over the world.
Venue: Låsby, Denmark
The prize includes course fee (value €2,280), full accommodation and transportation, visit to the AVK headquarters in Denmark and round-trip flights (economy class).
SUBMISSION CRITERIA
There is no single format for the case story. However, it must contain a timeline and general purpose, a description of the process incl. before and after data (in English), and a picture or visualization of the process or the results.

The winner will be contacted directly and will be announced on AVK Group website and LinkedIn page on World Water Day, March 22nd ,2020.
By participating, the Contestant agrees to being fully and unconditionally bound to these rules, and to accept the decisions of AVK Holding A/S as final and binding, as it relates to the content of this Campaign. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of AVK Holding A/S. The winning case story will be selected by community vote under the supervision of AVK Holding A/S. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by AVK Holding A/S, and no cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at AVK Holding A/S’ discretion. The prizes are non-transferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winner. By participating, Contestant agrees that the submitted content is used for marketing purposes. Acceptance of prizes constitutes permission for AVK Holding A/S to use Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
